The Role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated backend engineers to join our team. In this role, you will play an integral part in designing and developing platforms critical in scaling cross-boarder payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teas to gather and understand requirements for software development projects.
• Design and develop efficient and scalable backend services.
• Advocate best practices, write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and maintain high test coverage.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless and efficient deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimize performance, and implement improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
• We use a number of languages in backend development: Erlang, Python, TypeScript, Clojure. Fluency in at least one of these languages is required.
• Experience with PostgresQL and other database systems and middleware.
• Experience with AWS services is a plus.
• Experience with testing frameworks and unit/integration testing best practices.
• Experience with loadtest and benchmark tools.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
